The CCUS economy is expanding rapidly. Analysts project the industry will generate over USD$900 billion in sales by 2050 and employ more than six million people globally. Advanced carbon crediting solutions hold significant potential. While traditional carbon management methods still dominate, innovative CCUS projects, with capacities up to 150 megatons of CO₂ annually, are expected to emerge shortly. By 2030, CCUS technologies are anticipated to largely replace traditional methods. New applications, such as carbon capture in cement production, CO₂ utilization in chemical manufacturing, geological storage, and CO₂ conversion into products, are advancing. Experts estimate that 45% of carbon credit demand by 2050 will originate from heavy industries and 35% from the energy sector.
